Associates in the Service Delivery function are responsible for Relationship Management / Account Management of a client / business area in all information technology activities. The role requires one to be a proactive and strategic business partner in an IT environment striving to meet current and anticipated business objectives. The relationship manager serves as a single point of contact for the client and must be capable of managing initiative-based portfolios in a multi-matrixed environment. They are also the escalation point for unresolved problems, complaints and complex service requests. Key skill sets include the ability to execute a portfolio using consulting skills and conflict resolution, proactively drive innovative business solutions, and use technical, enterprise, and business knowledge to work across structures to meet customer needs. Associates in this job code do not manage people.

Specific Job Description: This position could be Shift 1 or Shift 2

The Domain Operations Generalist, is responsible for ensuring the successful selection, implementation, and operation of ET&D technologies on behalf of a critical business solution, proactively identifying and resolving potential problems before they become issues, and for leading the way in level 3 problem analyses in cases where levels 1 & 2 cannot resolve the issue. The Domain Generalist provides comprehensive solutions to complex problems or needs. The role requires one to be a proactive and strategic business partner in an IT environment striving to meet current and anticipated business objectives. The Generalist will be a member of a small team with similar skills and responsibilities, and will be required to work collaboratively to ensure all critical business needs are being met.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Meeting w/ business partners

• Identifying and driving improvements in the ET&D service model and platforms

• Participating in infrastructure design, review, and approval processes

• Approving monitoring and operational readiness requirements

• Operational readiness oversight, including stress testing and operational validation

• Oversight on systems documentation, including operational runbooks as necessary

• Triage technical direct during high impact issues (on call rotation for 24x7 support)

• Training of peers and team of new support features and support requirements

• Focus on strategic solutions to improvement the operation environment to reduce FCIs



This is a technical position reporting directly to the Domain Manager. The Domain Generalist will have limited access to systems within the scope of the delivery channel to collaborate and drive technical actions. The Generalist is expected to have significant knowledge of the delivery channel and the technologies it utilizes. Key skill sets include the ability to execute a portfolio using consulting skills and conflict resolution, proactively drive innovative business solutions, and use technical, enterprise, and business knowledge to work across structures to meet customer needs.

Exceptional planning, organizational , and time management skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to communicate clearly and crisply.

IT Technical skills across multiple disciplines

IT Technical Expertise within a core ET&D technology area

8 years hand on experience in IT systems and/or application management

2 years experience leading a team of IT professionals

Desired Skills:


-12 years hands-on technical experience in a heterogeneous computing environment supporting business critical applications

-4 years experience managing IT projects and teams

-Experience working with globalized work force

-Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
